William L "Larry" Lundgren

Born June 20, 1950 in Woburn, MA to William and Barbara (Gray) Lundgren, Jr., he married Anita Chism January 27, 1985 in East Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Peter William Lundgren of Beaverton, OR and Andrew Lawrence (wife, Bonnie) Lundgren of Portland, OR; and one brother, William (wife, Colleen) Lundgren III of Burlington, MA.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and one brother, David Lundgren.

Larry was an entrepreneur and worked for Fortune 500 Company’s, including the Hertz Corporation, Microsoft Corporation and Merisel. He last worked for Comcast in Springfield.

He was a past president of Rotary Club International, past member of the Spokeman’s Club on the East Coast. He also served as a Deacon and Elder at various churches across the U.S., last serving as a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church in Portland, OR.

Larry loved to golf with his East Coast buddies and fish for salmon and steelhead on the West Coast. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening and keeping an immaculate yard.

A devoted husband and father, Larry was a friend to all. His greatest love was for the Lord and his Bible, which he carried with him at all times. Celebrating the birth of Jesus, he decorated his home “big”, both inside and out.

Larry attended Groveland Missionary Church.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Groveland Missionary Church in Groveland. Pastor Marv Claassen will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
