CREVE COEUR ~ William Raymond Schultz, Jr., 77, of 5600 Glen Elm Drive in Peoria, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services in Peoria. He was formerly of 805 Pekin Avenue in Creve Coeur.
He was born April 11, 1931 in Peoria to William Raymond, Sr. and Katherine (Houtekamer) Schultz. His parents preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Schultz and Larry R. Schultz.
Surviving are one brother, Ralph E. (Sandra) Schultz of Savannah, Tennessee; one nephew and one niece.
William worked as the store manager at the A & P Grocery Store in Peoria for many years. He last worked as an order expeditor for Herron Company in Peoria, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed gardening and painting.
His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. Chaplain Joel Gray will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
