William L Sidell

Born March 7, 1939 in Pekin to George Edward and Martha Mary (Nelson) Sidell, he married Linda L. Hancock on December 6, 1958 in Pekin. She died July 16, 2011 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Sidell; and one sister, JoAnn Seagraves.

Surviving are three daughters, Teresa Sidell, Julie (Brad) Burrell, and Lisa (Lonny) Louwers, all of Pekin; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren with the birth of two more expected; and three brothers, Jerry (Barb) Sidell, Mike Sidell, and Kenny (Susan) Sidell, all of Pekin.

Bill worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years, retiring in 1993 as a security guard at the Morton plant. Following his retirement, he worked at the Pekin YWCA for 6 years as the maintenance supervisor.

Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, and hunting.

A gathering celebrating his life will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Miller Senior Citizens Center in Pekin. Private burial of cremated remains will be at a later date.
