Born September 19, 1933 in Peoria to Wayne J. and Nina Helen Johnson VanDusen, he married Betty L. Johnson on April 10, 1968 in Pekin. She died December 28, 1997 in Peoria.
He was also preceded in death by 1 step-daughter.
Surviving are 2 sons, William Craig VanDusen of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Kevin W. (Cindy) VanDusen of Metamora; 3 step-sons, Charles William Daly and Thomas U. Daly, both of Marquette Heights, and Eric R. (Michelle) Daly of Plano, Texas; 8 grandchildren; 1 brother, Donald J. Blair of San Mateo, California; and 3 sisters, Geraldine Clark, Charlene Sprout and Nancy J. Gaul, all of Peoria.
Mr. VanDusen was self-employed, owning a trucking business and several night clubs.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Bill served in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy after the Korean War.
His memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev.Gary L. Ford will officiate. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded.
