She was born October 19, 1925 in Dillon to Adam and Alma (Krannich) Fornoff. Her parents preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Marcella Weyhrich, Lucille Suttie, Ruby Garber and Marian Garber.
Surviving are three sons, Michael Timian of Pekin, Thomas (Janet) Timian of Mapleton and Steven (Karen) Timian of Tinley Park; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Robert Fornoff of Peoria.
A former secretary for Pekin Mayor J. Norman Shade, she also had worked in the bookkeeping department of Herget Bank and for Caterpillar, Inc. in their Security Department. After raising her sons, she went to work for Dr. Claycomb in Pekin as his office manager and bookkeeper. Following Dr. Claycomb’s retirement, Wilma returned to Caterpillar and worked as the secretary for the division manager at the Tech Center in Mossville, retiring in 1991.
Wilma found true enjoyment helping others and always put herself last. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She loved music and playing the violin and clarinet.
Wilma was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Dr. Rodger P. Abatie will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Arrangements are by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
