Preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Anna Busken; husband, Donald McCall Flowers; brothers Raymond, Elmer, Leonard, Cyril, Aloysius; sisters, Aurelia, Celeste, Loretta, Viola. She is survived by her brother, Robert; her sons, Donald and Hyunjoo (Lee) Flowers; David and Rhonda (Mears) Flowers; Darrell and Margareth (van Halteren) Flowers; grandchildren, Chelsea Flowers and wife, Evelyn O’Neal and step-son, Isaac Brush, Kyra Flowers, Kevin and Amy van Halteren. She was born in Florissant, MO, grew up on a family farm, and graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1944. Adele was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church for 46 years, volunteering for the paper drives, 4th of July festivals, and as a member of the Altar Sodality. Her passionate love for family and Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. Adele enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting, gardening, puzzles; and traveled throughout the United States, Germany, Caribbean, The Netherlands, Japan and South Korea.
A visitation will be held Thursday, August 27 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with a Funeral Mass following at 11:30 am. There will be a reception in Adele's honor following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, please consider donation to the National Kidney Foundation.
