Almeda Jean Heslop

Almeda married Mac Douglas Heslop on July 20, 1944, and shared an undying love for 73 years as husband and wife. She became a loving “Mom,” “Grandma,” and “Bombi” to her children and grandchildren.

Almeda is survived by her husband, Mac; her brother, Bill McConnell; her children and their spouses, Bill Heslop (Pat), Jim Heslop (Dee Dee), and Kathie Smith (Ed); her grandchildren, Stephanie Mack, Eric Heslop, Jeff Smith, Clay Heslop, Alecia Self, Brian Heslop, Melissa Bowser, Scott Heslop, and Ben Heslop; and her 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a memorial celebration 7 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham.
