She was born on September 23, 1982 in Milton, Florida to Jaime and Mary Hernandez. After graduating from Milton High School, Amy attended Pensacola Junior College. In Florida, she was a member of First Church, Milton, and served in the church's handbell choir. On July 17, 2004, she married Aaron Fenton and their union was blessed with two children.
Amy was the Assistant Director & Volunteers Coordinator at the Chelsea Public Library, a work she deeply loved. She was an avid reader and was a gifted musician able to play multiple instruments. She attended Liberty Baptist Church, where she helped with Vacation Bible School and Wednesday children's church.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of almost 18 years, Aaron William Fenton; her two sons, Aaron Jay Fenton and Shane Patrick Fenton; her parents, Jaime and Mary Hernandez; her brother, Michael Hernandez (Celia Lynn); and her two brother in law, Jason Fenton, sister in law Nikki Yost, and brother in law, Jesse Fenton. Amy was a dear, sweet joy to know and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Amy’s life was held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
