Amanda Godfrey Lewis

LEWIS, AMANDA ELIZABETH GODFREY Age 29, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on January 9, 2012. Amanda worked at Children's Hospital of Birmingham as a Patient Care Assistant in the NICU, she went to Oak Mountain High School in 2000 and also Midway College of Kentucky, Herizing Institute of Birmingham and Jefferson State of Birmingham. She was a member of Brook Highland Church of Birmingham. She loved Equestrian, family, friends and taking care of others. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Ernest & Ophelia Godfrey and her uncle; Rouse Godfrey. She is survived by her husband; William Timothy Lewis, son; McKinlee James Lewis, parents; Frank M. & Susan G. Godfrey of Pelham, grandparents; AP & Margaret Gay of Jacksonville, Alabama, sister; Amy (Chris) Fry of Pelham, nephews; Hayden & Ryan Fry, niece; Meagan Fry. Many other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home January 13, 2012 at 12:00pm with burial in Southern Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday 10:00am-12:00am at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to a Scholarship Fund for McKinlee at Region's bank.
