Angela is preceded in death by her mother, Festine Eugenia Dickerson Young and her father, Alton Young, Sr. She is survived by her son, Alton Lee Purser; brothers, Alton Young, Jr. and James Warren Young (Peggy); nephew, Joe Young; niece, Chelsea Nicole Young Gandy.
Angela was a 1964 graduate of Thompson High School. She was employed by the Shelby County Board of Education for 26 years. Angela loved the Smoky Mountains and she loved her family and friends.
Angela’s life celebration will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with burial at Pelham City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, also at the funeral home.
