

Born on July 6, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama, Ann was the daughter of William Henley and Annie Henley.
Ann was a devoted Christian and was a faithful member of Indian Springs Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Her faith was a guiding presence in her life and remained one of her greatest sources of joy. In her spare time, you could find Ann spending time reading, supporting causes that were meaningful to her, and making memories with those she loved most.
Ann is survived by her son, Mike Watkins (Gina); her daughter, Christie Watkins Lollar (Mark); her grandchildren, Justin Watkins (Peyton), Jessica Mata (Nick), Jared Lollar (April), Kaycee Lau (Jake), and Austin Lollar; her great-grandchildren, Isaac Lollar and Logan Watkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William B. Henley; her brothers, Paul Burns, Roy Galey, and William D. Henley; and her sisters, Doris H. Lusk and Joyce H. Ponds.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 22 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home from 1:30-3:00 PM. A graveside service at Southern Heritage Cemetery will follow at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Ann’s honor.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Columbiana Health and Rehab and Southeast Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and dedicated care.
