Barbara A Kelly

Barbara Ann Kelly, age 79, of Moody, Alabama passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. Barbara was born to Calvin and Christine Frederick on May 26, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Woodlawn High school and went on to have a career in law with Sirote-Permutt Law Firm. On August 31, 1963, she married the love of her life F. Joseph (Joe) Kelly and would go on to have 3 loving children together.

Barbara was a former member of the Leeds Literary Club, the Leeds Arts Council and loved playing in local "Bridge" circles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Christine Frederick.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, F. Joseph (Joe) Kelly; children; Kristy Chance (Barry), F. Joseph Kelly II M.D. (Kristi), and Kimberly Gilmer (David); brother, Keith B. Frederick; grandchildren, Stacia (Brenon), Lauren (Nick), Blake (Haley Grace), Rhett (Nicole) F. Joseph III, Barbara Camille, Anna Clare, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moody Police Foundation-2900 Daniel Drive Moody, AL 35004.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Committal service to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
