Benjamin Thomas Giffen, 24 of Helena, Alabama, passed away on October 24, 2014. Benjamin was very optimistic and had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all, and loved his Tennessee Volunteers. Benjamin is survived by his loving parents, Mr. James and Mrs. Martha Giffen; two brothers, Jimmy and Will Giffen; grandmothers, Betty Fesmire and Bonnie Giffen; aunts, Lee Jones and Anita Fesmire; uncles, Austin Fesmire, John Giffen and Dave Giffen. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory numerous cousin and friends. Benjamin’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 3:00 until 4:00 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Benjamin’s Life will start at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Shelby County Humane Society or a charity of your choice in Benjamin’s memory.
