I had the pleasure of working with Betty many years ago through the Guaranty Fund community.  We had many good times as she tried to teach me about becoming a Southern lady, and I tried to teach her how to have a good Minnesota accent.  We laughed often and explored several cities together.   She talked a lot about her daughters that she loved dearly.   She touched many people across the country.  I just wanted to send my love and prayers to your family from Minnesota.

I had the good fortune to know Betty for many years via the guaranty association community.  I can't recall the last time I visited with her in person as  she was not a big fan of plane travel, let me rephrase- she really didn't like plane travel.  We have missed her presence at our national gatherings in recent years.  However, those of us around the country who were able to share a conversation with her will remember her fondly.  For as long as I've known Betty, she was always able to effectively voice her concerns in her calm, but assertive, Alabama accent.  Our sincere condolences here at the Ohio/West Virginia Guaranty Associations go out to her family.

I met Betty through the South Eastern Insurance Guaranty Association as she was the Exec. Director of the Al Guar Assoc. when I started at the NCIGA. A gracious lady, I enjoyed our conversations and used to laugh at her refusal to fly over water (like that would make a difference). She will be missed and heaven is often reflected on do people miss your contributions to the greater good. Well done Ms. D.

I began working at Alabama Insurance Guaranty Association October 2001. Ms Davis was the only person in when I arrived. Ms Davis and I had many conversations over the years, work, friends, family. Ms. Davis took great pride in her and our work at AIGA.   All of you became known to me in the loving way she spoke of each of you and Larry her best friend. Ms. Davis was my fashion critic and some days she would wave  her finger for me to come into her office  and ask me what I was wearing.  I'm conservative and sometimes step outside the box. She'd smile and go back to her work. We joked about my not polishing my nails. I will truly miss Ms. Davis. She loved her work her family and once not long ago said to me "we are all family" Love to all of you.

I'm thinking of all of you that loved this woman. She had to be amazing, she has shared an amazing family with the rest of us!

My deepest sympathy to Ms. Davis "girls" as she so fondly referred to her daughters; she loved each and every one of you and was so proud of all her grandchildren.  Ms. Davis was the pillar of the Guaranty Association and will be missed; she was not only the Director but also a true friend, having worked with her for the past 20 years the office will never be the same. May she rest in peace.
