Betty Jean (Vickers) Manasco, 88, of Birmingham, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Betty was known for bringing joy and laughter to any situation. Through every stage of life she touched those around her with lasting memories and her vibrant spirit of life. Betty was a loving wife of 73 years, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother (Gangie). She cherished her family and touched others with her positive, cheerful outlook in happy anticipation of Heaven. She was the epitome of strength and beauty. Even through adversity, she found a way to laugh and uncover beauty in the world around her. In her youth, she enjoyed basketball, tennis, and bowling. In her later years, she was an active member of Silver Sneakers at the YMCA. Much of Betty's character and personality developed from her relationships with her parents, Carrie Keeton Vickers and Otto Vickers, and her siblings, which was later manifested in her own family. She treasured her brother and seven sisters, remaining close with them throughout her life, and loved her precious nieces and nephews.
Survived by her husband, C.W. Manasco of Birmingham, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Austin Snow of Pelham, AL; granddaughter and her husband, Kimberly and Michael Roberts of Katy, TX; great-granddaughter, Ella Grace Roberts. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, November 28th at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, AL. Reverend Rick White will officiate. The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the staff and CNA's at Diversicare of Riverchase and Oasis Hospice for their devoted care and support.
