Betty Jean (Roach) McDaniel

Betty McDaniel, age 91, of Vestavia Hills, Ala., passed away on January 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Love McDaniel, Sr., son Richard Jr., and parents, Houston and Cora Mae Roach. She is survived by daughter Phyllis McDaniel Hunter (Tim) and sons Jim (Stephanie) and Frank (Mary Carol). Mamaw was a beloved grandmother to 12 grandchildren, Currie, Todd, Eleanor, Kimberly, Julie, Jay, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Sara, John, Janie, and Frank, and 20 great grandchildren. Visitation is Thursday, January 20, at 10 a.m. at Canterbury United Methodist Church, followed by an 11 a.m. service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Embrace Alabama Kids, a ministry of the United Methodist Children’s Home or the charity of your choice.
