Wescott Betty Jo, of Hoover, AL. passed away October 08, 2011 at the age of 80. She was born June 12, 1931 in Huntsville MO. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Roger H. Wescott; her parents, Don and Annie Toombs and her brother, Donnie T. Toombs. She is survived by a son, Dale G. Wescott (Sonja); a daughter, Marva Wescott Witter (Jim); her youngest son, Gary L. Wescott and her sister Bernita Robbins (Larry) of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Wescott Dial (Robert); Roger J. Wescott (Rachel) and numerous nieces and nephews from all over the U.S. She was a farmer’s daughter and a coal miner’s wife who raised three children across the coalfields of Missouri, Ohio and Alabama. She loved nature especially flowers and taking care of animals. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 11, 2011.
