Bill Musgrove of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on September 20, 2020. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama where he attended Phillips High and Minor High School. Later he went on to attend school at Jacksonville State University and also joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He then went on to marry his wife, Becky Musgrove.
Bill has a servant’s heart. He loved serving his family, community, and country. He had 27 year career in Law Enforcement with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. He was the first D.A.R.E. Instructor for 5 schools in the Bessemer Cut off and rewarded D.A.R.E. Officer of the State of Alabama in 1995. He was often seen on TV Crime Stoppers as well as conducting their Citizen Academy. He served in the the U.S. Military. First, the United States Marine Corps for 6 years. Later, with the 117th Air Refueling Wing of the Alabama Air National Guard for another 26 years where he retired as a Senior Master Sergeant “1st Shirt”. He was elected to the Lake Powell Community Development Board in Florida. He served on HOAs for the communities where he lived over the years. He has a passion for exploring and learning, cars, music, marksmanship, total immersion swimming, cooking, and traveling.
Bill loved The Lord and expressed his faith through the Methodist church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Becky Musgrove; one son, Hudson Musgrove (Margo); granddaughter, Sadie Grace Musgrove; grandson, Otto Hudson Musgrove; his two sisters, Susie Binder and Liz Spears (Stan); many aunts, uncles, and cousins. One of which, Tommy Stuart (Cindy) is like a brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Musgrove Jr. and his mother, Frances Musgrove.

Mr. Bill Musgrove will be interred at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
