

Prince, Blanche Boatright, age 77, of Hoover, went home to be with her Savior on April 16, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Cullman, Blanche graduated from Fairview High School and attended Sacred Heart College. In August 1957, she married the love of her life, Jim. She thrived as a homemaker, caring for her husband and children. Blanche is survived by her loving husband, Jim; three children, Pam Jowers of Montgomery, Jeff Prince of Hoover, and Cindy Bishop of Trussville; a brother, Junior Boatright of Cullman, a sister, Joyce Boatright of Huntsville; seven grandchildren, Heather Stephens, Brandon Campbell, Candace Powell, Cameron Bishop, Chandler Bishop, Jonathan Prince, and Ashlyn Prince; two great-grandchildren, Blake Stephens and Grayson Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Blanche will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, and the love she had for her family, others, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Visitation will be Monday April 18th from 5-7pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Funeral services will be Tuesday April 19th at 3pm with Dr. Ron Gannett officiating. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made in Blanche’s honor to Shades Mountain Bible Church’s Mission Fund at 2230 Sumpter St. Birmingham, AL 35226.
