ROTH, ROBERT EDWARD "BOB," age 66, owner of Pateras' Pizza & Sports Bar in Pelham, Alabama for the past nine years, passed away Friday night, December 16, 2011. He was loved by many as a father, brother, friend, and mentor. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Caroline Kinn and Walter Emil Roth; a son, Roger Deskin; and a daughter, Joy Deskin. Survivors include Bob's wife, Elsie Roth of Pelham; one brother, Ronald Roth (Barbara); one daughter, Lori Pannell (Daniel); two sons, Audie Deskin (Sue) and Andre Deskin; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation and Celebration Service will be Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham. The family will greet friends 5-7 p.m., and the 7 p.m. service will immediately follow in the funeral home's chapel.
