Bobby Glen West

Bobby studied architectural engineering while attending Southern Union College in Alabama and Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, Georgia, where he received an Associate Degree. After a long career in construction and engineering, he retired in 2018 from Southern Company Services as a Senior Piping Designer. His career took him to many states where he developed lifelong friendships.

Bobby loved socializing with friends, golfing, and fishing. Once you met him, you were a friend for life!

Bobby is survived by his wife, Gina; two children, Carson and Mackenzie; his mother, Evelyn West of Wadley, Alabama; sister, Susan Simms (Patrick) of Lillian, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. His father, Denney Leon West, preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
