The Newport, New Hampshire native was retired from the Social Security Administration in Birmingham, Alabama. He enjoyed a second career working as manager and bartender at local hotels.
Brandt was predeceased by his wife, Anna Carolyn Clarke, and his parents, Ernest Clark and Mary MacArthur Clark.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Clarke; one son, Ashley A. (Kyra) Clarke; five grandchildren, Nikkayla Clarke, Kennedy Clarke, Brandon (Amanda) Cirel, Clarke Cirel, and Colin Cirel; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Cirel and Noah Cirel; and one brother, Graham G. (Peggy) Clarke.
Visitation will be one hour before the 2 p.m. Celebration of Brandt's Life on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
