Brian loved his Lord Jesus with all of his heart. His Bible is filled with notes and underlined verses and was his most treasured possession. He adored his wife, Gail Maxwell Lindsey, whom he married on February 11, 1978; his love for her second only to his love for Jesus. He was so proud of his children, Brian Jr. and Emily, and took every opportunity to boast of their accomplishments.
Brian will forever be remembered for his servant heart and generous spirit, his passion for his family, his friends, music, Alabama football, home improvement, and mountain biking. Brian’s church was an extension of his heart, where he served as an ordained deacon, as a volunteer, and as a member of the praise team. He and Gail currently call Valleydale Church home.
Brian was a beloved member of his mountain biking community and spent countless weekends with them in Oak Mountain State Park. His voice and laugh were his trademarks, and you could hear him talking a mile away. While Brian’s presence will leave a gaping hole here on earth, his family and friends eagerly anticipate the joy and reunion that is to come in Heaven.
Brian is survived by his wife, Gail; his children, Brian Jr. and Emily; his brother, Robert (Blanche); his sisters, Beth Livingston and Bonita Lindsey; and countless, beloved friends who felt like family.
The family will visit with friends from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Immediately following the visitation, A Service of Remembrance for Brian will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel.
