Carol Faye Byrd

Carol Faye Byrd, age 78, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 1, 1944. Faye attended West End High School. She married to Brice David Byrd on April 10, 1971. Faye had a career in banking for Guaranty Federal, Southtrust Bank and Wells Fargo. Faye was a member of the Lions Club International, Order of Eastern Star and Valleydale Church. She had a passion for volunteering, helping others, travelling and playing games with friends and family.

Faye is survived by her husband, Brice David Byrd; her children, Camille Williston, Candice McKelvey (Scott); grandchildren, Ashlyn, Garrett, Keegan, Lex, Payton and Amber; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Gail Forester.

A visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
