The second week I was dating Tony he took me to meet Fran and Cass. That was 50 years ago. We became close friends and then became family. We were there for each other through all our joyous times and also shared in our sorrows. When we were together we laughed until we cried playing games all weekend long or just telling old stories about our younger days. She was a faithful friend and loved with her whole heart. She was so important in my life and even though we lived far apart our relationship remained the same. She was such a gracious and giving person. I will miss her.

Adieu to a lovely lady who was kind, generous, warm and funny. John and I appreciated the warmth that Cass and Fran had always shown our extended family. She will be missed by family and friends alike.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Cass growing up. She would often come and stay for the weekend at our home in Jersey. Aunt Cass and Uncle Franny would play games with my parents all night and laugh until they cried. I can’t remember a single sacrament or milestone when Aunt Cass wasn’t there. She was family and would always be there to share in your special day. As a teenager I can remember stopping by her house in Mayfair unexpectedly. She was dressed impeccably, from her pressed jeans to flawless hair and make up. I can remember asking “Aunt Cass do you look this pretty even when you clean?” She just laughed and said “of course not”. We were sad when she was leaving to move to Alabama but were happy in knowing she would be with her family. Once she became Grandy it was her mission to be with her grandchildren. She loved and was loved by so many.

There are so many memories I have of Cass. I spent countless days at her house when I was growing up. I remember on Saturday mornings, she'd listen to Barbara Streisand and sing along while she sat on the sofa with her feet up on the coffee table. I remember she always bought the best torpedo rolls for sandwiches. I remember she was a very good listener and had an infectious laugh. She loved her daughters and her grandchildren. The mold was thrown away when she was born. Miss her.
