Chuck was born on January 21, 1940, in Montgomery, Alabama. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1959, and earned a degree in industrial engineering in 1965 from Auburn University. He worked in the pulp and paper industry for over 35 years.
While at Auburn Chuck met Angelyn Woodham in 1961 and they were married in 1963. Chuck was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and a World War II history buff. He enjoyed travelling and spending time with family and playing dominoes with friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angelyn, their two daughters, Zoe Dwyer (David) and Bel Hart (Jeff), and four grandchildren, Margaret Dwyer, Jack Hart, Mary Ingalls Dwyer, and Henle Hart. All four grandchildren continued the tradition of attending Auburn University.
The family would like to thank Amada Senior Care and especially Alma, Shelia, and Star.
A private interment will be held prior to a public memorial service in the Worship Center at Briarwood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Salvation Army, the Parkinson’s Foundation or a charity of your choice.
