

Charles Kennedy Cottrell, Jr., age 73, of Montevallo, AL, passed away Friday night, November 20, 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and family man.
A Nashville, TN native, Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed with WalMart for 20 years, retiring as District Manager for Shoes and Jewelry.
Charles was predeceased by his mother, Louise Murphree Cottrell; his father, Charles Kennedy Cottrell, Sr.; one son, Jamie Cottrell; two brothers, Felix Brittain and George Brittain; and a grandson, Charles Kennedy "Chase" Cottrell, III.
Survivors include Charles' loving wife of 53 years, Shelby Cottrell; one daughter, Wanda Rardon (Donnie Rardon, Jr.); one son, Chad Cottrell (June Cottrell); two grandchildren, Donald Rardon III (Stephanie Rardon) and Michael Rardon; and one great-grandchild, Jameson Rardon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, with the Celebration of Charles' Life immediately following at 1 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Minister Keith Jones will officiate.
