Charles Fred Edgerton (Freddy) was born March 16, 1954, in Dothan, Alabama. Freddy received his formal education at Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. He furthered his education at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. He was an actively involved member in serving at Church of the Highlands Riverchase.
Freddy worked for Oasic as a Compliance Examiner. Ke kept trying to retire, but his wife kept putting him back to work!
In his leisure, he enjoyed grilling and cooking incredible meals for his friends and family. His grandkids were his whole heart and the joy of his life. He loved Alabama football, and traveling to new places to check off all the places on his and Jane's bucket list.
Freddy was married to Jane Eagy on June 3, 1978 in Fairhope, Alabama. Their union was blessed with two children.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 46 years and 11 months exactly, Jane E. Edgerton; daughter, Loriahn Hudson (Eddie Hudson); grandchildren, Levi Everest Harden, Reeves Edge Harden, and Londyn Everleigh Harden; his neice, Haley Ray and a multitude of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Harper; his son, Joshua "Edge" Edgerton, whom he loved so very much; his sister, Lawanna Brown.
The family will have a private graveside at Southern Heritage Cemetery on Monday, May 6, 2024.
A visitation will be held at Church of the Highlands Riverchase on Monday, May 6 at 12:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm.
