Charles Edward Stewart III, age 81 of Pelham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1944. Charles served in the military from 1969 to 1975 with an honorable discharge. He attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree. He worked most of his career with Exxon Mobile where he traveled all over the world. He was a very talented photographer and a member of the Shades Valley Camera Club. He loved going on field trips with the Camera Club. He was an art enthusiast, he loved birds, which were the subject of many of his photographs, he loved the symphony, and vintage cars.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of life service at 2:00 pm, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama 35124.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
