A proud graduate of Michigan Technological University, he went on to build a successful career as a computer analyst in the banking and insurance industry, working with Citibank and Republic Insurance.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was most proud to be remembered as a good person, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a man of deep Catholic faith. His life was filled with passions that brought him joy, including traveling the world—especially making trips to Michigan to visit his beloved mother—collecting vintage sports cards and magazines, and treasuring the beauty of God’s creations.
He was honored to be a member of his high school honor society, and often reflected fondly on his college years, calling them “the best seven years” of his life. He also valued the experiences of traveling solo, which shaped his adventurous spirit. This adventurous spirit now lives on in his children and grandchildren.
Family was at the heart of his world. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, celebrated family weddings and births, enjoyed fun times with his brothers, and found his greatest pride in seeing his children lead well-lived lives and in watching his grandchildren grow.
His legacy is one of faith, love, laughter, and devotion to family, a life well lived and richly blessed.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, John and Miriam Trimberger; his brother David; and his second wife, Patricia Chamberlain.
He leaves behind his children, Megan Pickering (Wally), Amanda Larson (Jim), and Joshua Trimberger; sibling, Robert Trimberger; mother of his children, Patricia Harvey; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Eliana, Benjamin, and Isaiah Pickering, and Serenity and Scout Larson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a service to follow in the Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery.
