After fighting a strong and courageous five-year battle with cancer, Lottie Nunnelly has finished the race. She crossed the finish line and went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, November 15, 2012. Lottie was born on June 27, 1959 to the late Ronald Charles Ricker and Bonnie Louise Ricker in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She leaves behind her husband of more than 30 years, Richard Mark Nunnelly; son, Matthew Charles Nunnelly of Melrose, Massachusetts; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Graham and Heather Overby Nunnelly of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; mother, Bonnie of DeWitt, Michigan; sister, Laura Tagsold of DeWitt; and brother, Ron Ricker, Jr. of Grayson, Georgia. A visitation will be 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at Shades Mountain Baptist Church, 2017 Columbiana Road in Vestavia Hills. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the church, with a graveside service the same day at Southern Heritage Cemetery, in Pelham, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Shades Mountain Baptist Church for the Make Jesus Known evangelism ministry or for Team Ministries (www.aTeamMinistries.org) for pediatric cancer ministries.
