Chester E Roberts

Chester E. Roberts, age 79, of Wilsonville, AL, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025. He was born in Anna, IL on April 17, 1945 to his parents Charles and Opal Roberts. He was a graduate of Chenoa High School and went on to further his education at St. Louis Community College and Southern Illinois where he received Associates degrees in applied science and Technology. On March 26, 1967 he married the love of his life Janice Roberts. Chester had a long career in the Fire Suppression Systems business and would then retired to enjoy time with his family and friends. He also loved playing golf in his spare time.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Roberts and Opal Heckert; wife Janice Fay Roberts; sister, Linda Rader. He leaves behind his children, Chris Palermo, Ginger Wood (Dennis); grandchildren, Dustin Wood, Haley Viner (Austin), Douglas Wood, Allison Palermo, and three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mary Rader, Sam Lee, Doris Gilliland (Louis), and Martha Snyder (Lyle).

A visitation for Chester will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
