Christi Nicole Jenks

Christi Nicole Jenks, age 42, of Chelsea, Alabama, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1984, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Samuel Chastain and Pam Odom Chastain. She graduated from Briarwood Christian High School before earning her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Auburn University. She dedicated 15 years of service to Altec, where she was a valued employee and built many lasting friendships. Followed by what she considered her most important job and what she loved the most-being a loving mother to her stepson, Gavin.

On August 8, 2020, Christi married the love of her life, Jason Jenks. Together they built a life filled with laughter, cherished memories, and unwavering love.

Christi found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing games, listening to podcasts, creating arts and crafts, and taking trips to the beach. She treasured spending time with family and friends, enjoyed neighborhood gatherings, adored her dogs, and never missed an opportunity to admire the beauty of the moon. Above all, her faith was the foundation of her life, and she shared that faith through her compassion, generosity, and love for others.

Christi will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and were blessed to share in her life.

She leaves behind her parents, Samuel and Pam Chastain; Loving husband Jason Jenks; brother, Brad Chastain (Maraki); cherished nieces, Allie and Sammie; stepchildren, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Samantha, and Gavin Jenks; two step-grandchildren, Sophia and Rylan Hurst; sisters-in-law, Jody Jenks (Joe Schmitcke), Jenna Anderson (Don), Kailey Jenks, and Michelle Lalim (Lance); brothers-in-law, Jacob Jenks, Michael Rasmussen (Brenda), and Jeffrey Rasmussen; and many nieces and nephews by marriage.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 with a service to follow at 11:00 am at Mountain Brook Community Church, 3001 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35243
