Cindy Carden Sanders, age 58, of Shelby, AL, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born to Horace and Ruby Carden in Alabaster, AL, on October 2, 1967. Cindy graduated from Shelby County High School and went on to start a career in the medical industry. Cindy dedicated many years of her career to working in administrative and business office roles for several companies, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Along the way, she found the love of her life and would marry Shannon Sanders and begin a family.
Outside of work, she had a deep love for Alabama Crimson Tide football and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. Above all, Cindy’s greatest accomplishment in life was her family. Her sons, Ian and Aiden, were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Ruby Powell Carden.
Cindy leaves behind her husband, Shannon Sanders, children, Ian and Aden Sanders; grandson, Liam Walker Sanders; siblings, Pam (David), Lee (Stacy), Teresa (Phillip), Tracy, and Simon (Amanda). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
