Clay Brewer

Mr. Robert “Clay” Brewer, age 39 of Alabaster, Alabama, passed away on November 5, 2012 after a 4 year battle of Metastatic Melanoma. Clay loved to spend time with his family and also loved golfing, Mississippi State Football and the Miami Dolphins. He was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church. Clay was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mrs. Melanie Renea Brewer; daughters, Christlyn Reese Brewer and Macy Lynn Money both of Alabaster; brother, Michael Lane Brewer Jr. of Phoenix City; sisters, Stacy Brewer Carpenter of Alabaster and Kelly Brewer Southworth of Atlanta; stepfather, Rufus K. Clary and mother Betty Holmes Clary both of Alabaster. He is preceded in death by his father; Mr. Michael Lane Brewer Sr. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 12:00 until 2:00 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with the services starting at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family request donations made to the UAB Cancer Research, Hunter Street Baptist Church or Gentiva Hospice.
