C.F. was born April 10, 1944 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to Clyde E. and Freda H. (Shuman) Laubach. C.F. was a 1962 graduate of Danville High School, attended Bloomsburg University, and graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #349 in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.
C.F. began his career as a salesman in the Danville area where he was employed by Trailco and then promoted to Sales Manager for Dorsey Trailers. He continued his career as a Sales Manager for Ravens Trailers and Vantage Trailers before being self-employed up until his retirement. After moving from Pennsylvania, C.F. would live in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Bristol, Tennessee, and Jacksonville, North Carolina before living out his life in the Birmingham, Alabama area.
C.F. was a very religious man, loving life and caring deeply for his family, friends, and community. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Carter) Laubach; his son, John Clyde Laubach and his wife Polly of Glendale, Arizona; and a step-son, William Charles Patrick Cayley III of Birmingham. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Laubach) Housenick of West Chester, Pennsylvania; nieces, Elizabeth (Housenick) Ward of Devon, Pennsylvania and Mary (Housenick) Kalady of Exton, Pennsylvania; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Mary Caroline and Andrew Ward, and Kaitlyn, Michael and Peter Kalady. C.F. was predeceased by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Riverchase United Methodist Church in Birmingham at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to either Riverchase United Methodist Church in Birmingham, or to United Methodist Church in Elysburg, Pennsylvania.
