Cooper Lee Dodd

DODD, COOPER LEE, infant son of Jonathan and Courtney Dodd of Sterrett, Alabama, passed away Saturday morning, December 15, 2012. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Charles Lee Smith Sr., and Vince and Vera Lamantia. Survivors, in addition to Cooper's parents, include his brother, Jackson Dodd; grandparents, David "DD" and Kay "MiMi" Dodd, Ronald "Pops" Middleton, and Cathy "GiGi" Smith; great-grandparents, John and Marilyn Dodd, Terrell and Joyce Middleton, and Bettie Smith; aunt and uncles, Carli, Codi, and Corbin Middleton; and godparents, Jeff and April Middleton. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2012 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Special thanks to Brookwood Medical Center's NICU staff and Children's Hospital of Alabama's NICU and Stem Cell staffs for showing so much love and care for our precious angel, Cooper. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Cooper Dodd Donation Fund at Wells Fargo Bank Brook Highland. Gifts may also be mailed to P.O. Box 611, Chelsea AL 35043 to help pay final expenses and for the special "Cooper's Corner" ministry in Children's Hospital NICU.
