Was saddened to see Cork's obit in the Sunday AtlJournal. He was a special guy who I shared a lot of fond childhood memories. A very kind and smart fellow.
So happy that he had grandchildren , who I am sure he enjoyed and will remember him fondly.

My name is Linda Barber Patterson and I now live in Muskegon, MI. There were a group of us that hung out together through our childhood years and high school and graduated together. Cortland was part of our group...very smart and I always knew he would succeed. We all remember his Mother (Edna) who worked in the school office and was a lovely person. My deepest sympathy is sent to the Dusseau family.

Cortland was without any doubt one of the finest most honorable people that I have ever met. He possessed a generosity of spirit that inspired all who encountered him. There is a little less light among us in his absence. I guess that to honor him we all need to shine a little brighter. Peace big brother! I will shine brighter!

I am very saddened to hear about the passing of Cortland. My wife Sue and I have great memories of the times we met on several of his hotel projects and loved talking with him about both of our real estate ventures.
My prayers are with his wife Lynda along with his family and friends.
May he rest in peace!!
