

Dana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, known for her great sense of humor, resilience, thoughtfulness, and love for her family. She was a fighter who exuded strength and positivity to all she met throughout her life.
She graduated from Phillips Junior College in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a degree in Paralegal Studies. She had a long career as a paralegal, where her dedicated work and positive nature made a significant impact on her colleagues and clients at Spain & Gillon.
Dana is survived by her spouse, Bobby Phillips; her children, Mason and Megan Lavallet; her grandchild, Harper Lavallet; her sister, Donna Walker (Stephen); niece, Marlo Donzelli (Carlo); and nephew, Jake Walker (Brandi). She is also survived by her step-children, Tyler, Haley, and Morgan Phillips, and Michael Brackin.
In addition to her parents, Dana was preceded in death by her brother, Derek Martin Hutchinson, and one niece, Amy Hutchinson.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Dana at 10:30 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
Dana will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
