I had the pleasure of instructing Danny in Remedies when he was a student at Birmingham School of Law.  Years later, I would have a couple of cases before him in his courtroom.  I was always impressed with his compassion and his commitment to excellence.  On a more personal note, Judge Crowson once advised my teenage daughter (at my request) regarding the peril and trauma that often come with improperly and irresponsibly operating an automobile.  RIP Judge, Professor Robert Beeman   

Hey Danny it’s your client jeffery Kimbrel I was referred to you by my grandfather who also knew you! You helped me through addiction an my legal issues. Even though I was ready to give up on life but you didn’t allow that an passed no judgement toward me . He was great man and I pray for your family and just know you helped me get back my life! Ily and rip my friend! Prayers for your family and friend!

I’m so sorry to hear about Danny’s passing. I remember him as an intelligent and excellent student. He was personable and friendly, and he always enjoyed a good laugh with his classroom buds.  Clearly, the work he did in life made the world a better place, and his multitude of accomplishments were a sign of his many capabilities.  A life well lived indeed. 
Rest In Peace, Danny.   You will be missed.

Danny was the first person that saw something redeemable in me. I had been living in darkness, addicted and broken, and honestly did not care if I lived or died. I got into legal trouble and the Lord orchestrated an introduction to Danny and he agreed to be my attorney. He showed so much kindness and really advocated for me to be given a second chance. Here I am many years later, over a decade clean and sober, restored, redeemed, and successful. I fear without him my story may have had a different ending, but because of him, I found freedom in more ways than one. Thank you Danny. Rest In Peace.

I met Danny at college. He lived next door to me.  He was a fraternity brother of my brother.  He was like a younger brother to me.  I saw him only once since college but through FB I enjoyed the photos of his family through the years.  I was in shock to hear the news that this earth lost a special soul. My heart breaks but mostly for his family. 

I am stunned by this sad news.  I worked for Danny when he was practicing .  He was a kind and loving husband and father, brother and son.  Danny was so kind that he always remembered me and kept in touch all of these years later.

Although I had been friends with Al and Barbara for years, I first became friends while he served Circuit Judge Bill Noble as his law clerk.Danny was exuberant about his work for Judge Noble and about life itself.It was always uplifting to be in his company. I have followed his career ever since , and have been so very proud. He served our state with distinction as one of its finest judges.

Danny, I want to thank you for being my friend and my big brother.  As much as I will miss you, I know the pain is multiplied for Ashley, Daniel, Lauren, Mrs. Barbara, Judge D. Al, and Renee’.  I know we will see you again one day, but until then, we are in pain.  You left a lasting mark on us that nothing can heal.

I got to know Danny when he invited me to assist with his re election campaign. It was a true joy to attend functions and listen to him talk to the people. He cared about  all people  with which he came in contact. He had a way of making people feel special. He had a true gift. Ashley, Daniel, Lauren, Judge Al Crowson, Mrs. Crowson and Renee Crowson Doss I pray for healing and that the  beautiful memories  you have will bless you time and time again.

Danny and I were fraternity brothers at Jacksonville State, and roommates for a year or so.  I was fortunate enough to be invited to vacation with his family in Mexico Beach, and was a groomsman in his wedding. His mom and dad were wonderful. The thing I remember most about Danny, more than any other thing, was how much he loved Ashley. When she came into his life, that was it. There would never be another, and who can blame him. He was a great man and a great friend. 

I worked for Judge Crowson right out of college. I appreciated my time in his courtroom and enjoyed watching him on the stand and learning from him. I regret not saying hello at the Piggly Wiggly a few weeks ago. My prayers and sincerest condolences to the Crowson family.

Margaret and I are remembering you and Danny's family in our prayers. God sent you one of his angels and now it was time for him  to return to our heavenly farther.

I worked with Danny when he became  Municipal judge for Calera court.  He was such a caring person who wanted to see people do well.  Always a smile and  he loved his family so much. I introduced Danny to my chicken salad recipe he would send me pictures of his sandwich he made .  I like so many others will miss him very much.  I’m thankful that I was able to call him my friend. 


I babysat with both Danny and Renee when they were babies and toddlers.  They were fun kids.  Danny had a way of making people laugh and they were both fun to watch and be around. We had moved from Alabama when my husband and I got married in 1977. We moved far away to Iowa followed by Ohio and then NC,etc.  We tried to visit Alabama as often as possible but work, etc. made it a rare opportunity.  I loved those 2 kids and I will miss Danny. He was one of a kind.

I remember being maybe about five or six when Al's mom and dad lived across the street from us in midfield Danny would come over to visit we had a big tire swing in our yard me and my brother Jason had been swinging on it and Danny come over and wanted to swing on it he got on it and swing for about 45 seconds when the strap broke and he hit the ground we all laughed about that

Although I didn't know Danny personally,his Dad (Al)and I have been friends for many years.My thoughts and prayers to his family at this time.



I've known Danny for twenty years. I met him as a young Law Enforcement Officer. He was a young Attorney. We grew a great friendship through the years. We went on several trips together to see different baseball stadiums, such as Fenway Park and the Phillies Stadium. 
The trip to Boston was awesome. We were grounded in Baltimore for a weather delay. Danny didn't want to wait on the weather delay, so we all jumped on a train and headed to NYC. We spent several hours in Time Square.  Then we got back on the train at 0300 in the morning. We made it to Boston as the morning sun was coming up. We all took a walk to Fenway park when we got there. Danny was in the middle of the road and almost got ran over by the Red Sox Manger, Terry Francona, headed to the stadium. That is just one story. There were many more stories.... 
Danny and I went on many fishing trips, ball games, and beach trips. I will never forget all the fun we had together.  I wish we could take one more trip. I love you and you will be missed.

When me lauren and abigail were little he would set up the basement for all of us and make us snacks and popcorn to watch tons of movies while also making fun of me for being an LSU fan. He was an amazing man and always made sure everyone was always having fun all the time❤️
