

Darrell McGregor Clark, 50, of Chelsea, Alabama passed away at 2:17 a.m. on Saturday, August, 4, 2018 after a short but very aggressive battle with metastatic cancer. He was born on November 6, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to Buck and Linda Clark.
Darrell is the business owner of APro Home Inspection of Alabama. A 1986 graduate of Allen High School, he attended Collin College and then became a member of the U.S. Army.
Sergeant Darrell Clark served with honored distinction as a United States Paratrooper from June 1989 to November 1994. During his Army service, he was assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Grafenwoehr, Germany and Fort Sam Houston, TX. In 1990, Darrell deployed to Southwest Asia with the 1st Field Artillery Detachment in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Darrell's awards and decorations include The Army Commendation Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service medal, the Southwest Asia Service medal with two bronze service stars, the Army Service Ribbon and the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal. Darrell also earned the Army Parachutist badge and the M16 Expert Qualification Badge. Darrell served in the Honor Guard at Fort Sam Houston honoring military veterans.
Darrell loved life and had an infectious smile and laugh. He loved his family with all his heart and those around him. He never met a stranger.
Darrell was an entrepreneur, a mentor, and a coach. He loved to cook, he loved to fish, and he loved adventure. He loved football and his Dallas Cowboys. He was a giver and never pretended to be more than who he was.
Darrell was preceded in death by his sister, Vickie Decker.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Shana Tanner Clark of Chelsea; two daughters, Kennedi Clark of Dallas, Texas, and Avery Clark of Chelsea; and one son, Tanner Clark of Chelsea; parents, Buck and Linda Clark of McKinney, Texas; and three brothers, Vance Clark (Ronda) of Venice Beach, California, Adam Clark (Melissa) of McKinney, and Gary Clark (Debbie) of Houston, Texas.
There will be two Celebration of Life services. The first memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at The Connection, 3135 Oak Mountain State Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124, and the second service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 7820 Silverado Trail, McKinney, TX 75070.
