

Dean Arrington, 83 of Hoover, passed away Mon., Oct. 12, 2015. Dean was born in Union Springs, AL. He is a graduate of Union Springs High School and UAB. Dean served in the Navy on the USS Bennington, and retired after 57 years from ACIPCO and Arrington Engineering and Land Surveying. He enjoyed gardening, AL Football, and spending time with his family at Orange Beach and Lake Martin.
Mr. Arrington is preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lou Hagler Arrington and Joseph Otis Arrington; and sisters, Betty Jo Townsend and Gayle Arrington. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jane Wiggins Arrington; sons, Jeff (Kim), Dave (Monica), Tim (Susan), Jamie and Mike Arrington (Brigitt); daughter, Cyndi Williamson (Craig); brothers, Oliver and Mike Arrington (Dorothy); sisters, Shirley Arrington Meredith (Robert) and Billie Arrington; grandchildren, Aaron Williamson, Janie Langdale (Jason), Mary Elaine Williamson, Ashton, Allie, Riley, Katie, Sarah, Sam, Becca, Austin, Brody, Noah, Ethan, Luke and Lauren Arrington; and great granddaughter, Kate Langdale. The family would like to especially recognize Dean’s special caregivers, Molicca Banks, Evangelina Patton and Patsy Banks.
The celebration of Dean’s life will be at 2:30pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 2pm.
