Mrs. Thornton is preceded in death by her parents, Perry Lee Cleckler and Lela Mae Cleckler; and by her daughter, Tammy Thornton Jacobs. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bobby Wayne Thornton; daughter, Donna Elaine Thornton; son-in-law, Larry Jacobs; grandchildren, Misty Montgomery (Josh), Stefan Derek Osborn (Brittany) and Emily Jacobs; and great grandchildren, Gage, Sophia, Colt, Asher and River.
The celebration of Dean’s life will be at 2pm on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with Tommy Thornton officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
