Debbie Thomas McCoy

"Deb" graduated from Chelsea High School in Chelsea, Alabama and later received the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Alabama, Huntsville. As a Registered Nurse, she was deeply devoted to helping patients at the Brookwood Cancer Center in Homewood, Alabama. In her leisure, she enjoyed "thrifting," caring for her Boston Terrier dog, relaxing at the beach, and listening to Rod Stewart songs.

In addition to her parents, Deb is preceded in death by her sisters, Tracy Craft Davis and Pamela Joy Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Allan Michael McCoy, whom she married on December 20, 2015; children, Ami Melissa Castleberry and Justin Lane Castleberry; stepdaughter, Stacy Grider McCoy; nieces, Nikki Wonn, Lindsey Challender, and Kimberly Rowe; nephew, Chad Johnson; many extended family members; and numerous cherished, close friends.

Family and friends will celebrate Deb's life on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
