

Dewey Lindsey Earley Jr., age 87, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on February 1, 2021. He was born on December 31, 1933. Dewey was a graduate of Hueytown High school. He retired from Pullman Standard.
He was a member of North Highland Baptist Church, a Master Mason of Flint Hill 810 FM of the Grand Lodge of Al, in good standing, and also served as a Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star 608. Dewey was a veteran of the Korean War aboard the USS Manchester CL-83.
He loved hunting, fishing, and loved his family.
Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Floice Earley Sr.; sister, Gail Holmes.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Earley; children, Darla Jones, Debra Cornelius (Ken), Donna Earley (Mark), Dewey L. Earley III (Deborah); brother; Kenneth Earley and sister, Carolyn Hammonds; grandchildren, Laura Hardin (Corey), Kenneth Cornelius, Calan Cornelius (Kayla), Ryan Earley (Savannah), Blake Earley (Taylor), Amy Black (Rich); 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a chapel service to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. A private burial will be held for the family due to Covid-19 restrictions.
