Born October 25, 1952 in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of Robert & Norma (Stogsdill) Ooley, a 1970 graduate of Spencer High School, and married Gary D. Franklin in 1973.
Her working life was in banking as a teller, in addition to raising two wonderful children. She was a member of First Christian Church in Birmingham, where she served the Lord in many capacities including Sunday School teacher. Annie was an avid fan of tennis and loved being at the beach.
She is survived by her loving family of husband, son Jeremy (Melissa) Franklin of St. Louis, MO, daughter Amanda (Jody) Boyles of Birmingham, AL, four grandchildren, William and Andrew Franklin, Leah and Jackson Boyles, sisters Beth (Don) Terrell of Bloomington, IN, Carol (Jeff) Wallace of Harrisburg, PA, brother Mike (Melissa) Ooley of Rushville, IN, and many nieces & nephews.
Her parents and brother Larry preceded her in death.
Due to COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, there will be a private family Internment Service on May 30, 2020. There will also be a Celebration of Life gathering, at a later date when COVID-19 guidelines can accommodate.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Educational Scholarship Fund of First Christian Church, 4954 Valleydale Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35242.
