

Dianne Carol Salmon, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. Born in Baton Rouge, LA on March 2, 1937, Dianne lived a life marked by faith, generosity, service, and deep devotion to her family and friends.
Dianne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dix Thomas Salmon; her sister, Dottie Hopkins; and her brother, Dale Desselle.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Cindy Jacks (Derek); her cherished grandchildren, Ava, Braden, and Drew Jacks; her sister, Kay Lockwood; her sister-in-law, Carole Desselle; and her nieces, Mandee Richards and Dominique Gleason, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Dianne enjoyed a successful career with Gulf Oil, where she worked for many years. Following her retirement, she found great joy in serving as a nanny, caring for children and becoming a treasured part of the families she served. Her nurturing spirit and loving heart were evident throughout her life.
A faithful member of Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Dianne loved her church family and actively participated in the life and ministry of the congregation. She was also a devoted member of the Riverchase Christian Women's Club, where she formed many lasting friendships and encouraged others in their faith.
Dianne will be remembered as a faithful and loyal friend who never missed an opportunity to help someone in need. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, a prayer, or practical assistance, she consistently reflected Christ's love to those around her. Her warmth, compassion, and servant's heart touched countless lives and leave a legacy for all who knew her.
Her family takes comfort in the promise of Christ and rejoices that Dianne's faith has become sight. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know and love her.
The family will receive visitors at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage and the gravesite committal service to follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 513 Columbiana Road, Homewood, AL 35209.
