Don had been battling cancer for the past 29 years and defied many odds, his family believing he was a walking miracle even unto his final hours.
He graduated from The University of Alabama School of Engineering and pursued a career in project management at Rust, GE, and for the past 20 years at Xerox. Don had a tremendous love of life and wonderful sense of humor. He had many passions, including camping, riding motorcycles, brewing craft beer, competing and judging local BBQ contests, discovering new cooking recipes, listening to jazz music, painting, and of course, cheering on the Atlanta Braves. Above all else, he loved his family.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Leigh Anchors Delashaw, and daughters, Lauren Taylor and Hannah Grace Delashaw. He is preceded in death by his father, Noble Neal Delashaw, and survived by his mother, Sue Burgess Delashaw; brother, Mark (Susan) Delashaw; nephews, John (Sarah) and Alan (Meghann) Delashaw; and all of the Anchors family.
