Donald Allen Green

DONALD ALLEN GREEN, age 81, of Helena, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, peacefully at his home with his wife, daughter, son, & sister-in-law. He was born in Birmingham, AL, at Lloyd Nolan Hospital on July 17, 1937. He graduated from Ensley High School, and got his degree from Auburn University in Building Construction. Donald was a Charter member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity.

Mr. Green was in the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve. He worked for the Inspection Services of the City of Birmingham, where he met his wife, Deanna, and got married April 25, 1964. Donald took a job with Butler Manufacturing (BUCO); then Gordon Development Company where he finally retired in 2005……continuing to work by helping family, friends & neighbors with minor errands & repairs.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents John Melvin Green & Yvonne Berthon Green; his son Dr. Greg Allen Green. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Douglas Green; his daughter, Rhonda Lea Green & her son, Luke Dunn; His son, Jeff Carson Green & wife, Jennifer Leigh Green, & their two sons, Cooper Bryan Green & Carter Robert Green. He is survived by grandson Carson Allen Ballagas. He is also survived by “Peaches” (his fur-baby).
