Donna Claire Veader Roberts

Donna Claire Veader Roberts, 62, of Shelby County, Alabama, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 8, 1959, grew up in Macon, Georgia, and moved to the Birmingham, Alabama area in 2000.

Donna graduated from Central High School in Macon before attending Macon Junior College. Her professional career included several years in bookkeeping for the Department of Continuing Education at the Bibb County Board of Education in Macon and Givianpour Real Estate Development in Birmingham.

Donna was a member of Christ Church United Methodist Church in Birmingham. Her favorite pastimes included traveling, UGA Football, and enjoying the sunshine and sand at Daytona Beach, Florida.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Frank Veader and Etha Claire Elder Veader, and one daughter, Amanda "Mandi" Claire Young.

Survivors include Donna's husband, Kevin Mark Roberts, to whom she met after being introduced by mutual friends and was married on May 6, 1989 at Mulberry United Methodist Church in Macon; two daughters, Carolyn Jeanne "Callie" and Natalie Voshel; two grandchildren, Madison “Madi” Claire (daughter of Amanda) and Wesley Burke (son of Natalie); one great-grandchild, Ryker James Elliot (son of Madison); three brothers, Steven Woodruff (Sheriel), David Rex, and Edward Burke; one sister-in-law, Chandelle Marie; and one brother-in-law, Brett Kenton.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, followed by A Service of Remembrance for Donna Roberts at 1 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Immediately after the service, the family will host a reception in the Celebration of Life Rooms at Ridout's Southern Heritage.
